ummmmm ok how did this happen?

?? That realy makes one think of so many reasons and to stop the head from wondering please fill me or us in on this one......
OK, sorry...

It was a pretty bad experience for me...and nice of Sterling not to say anything about it.
For a while, I had decided not to ride again: not because I was scared, but just because I was concerned that age was catching up with me. There were a lot of people at
www.YZF600R.com who talked me out of quitting, and helped with the donation of a part here and there.

Today at 1:30, with Sterling and Mary Beth at Crowder's Mountain:

2:00: Following Mary Beth in light traffic downtown Cramerton, let my mind wander, traffic ahead slowed suddenly, panic stop, went down hard on left side, 'Cat skidded into Mary Beth and knocked her R6 down and turned it around 180 degrees

We got the bikes picked up off the street and moved to a parking lot

Kitty isn't even worth anything as a source of parts anymore

Sterling said the stator was smoking as I rode it to the parking lot, and it smelled like burning wires

peg even sheared off, tank is dented, triples are twisted and forks are probably bent

My brand new right side I just put on last week

Boots and leather pants took the whole brunt of the bodily injury

Sterling and Mary Beth rode home and Sterling came back with the Kitty ambulance. The wreck took place in front of the third house from the left in the background, heading toward the railroad bridge.

Bye-bye. It was fun while it lasted.

I can't afford to fix her...somebody owes me $2,000 and won't pay me back. Plus two wrecks in six weeks, both due to lapses of concentration, tells me it's time to hang up my gear for good. Age-related decline in mental facilities hits some folks earlier than others.
